When creating your own applications, you will want to create a file for your main window with the same name as the package, so it can be referred to using this shorter form. This is convenient since all a user needs to know is the package name to be able to open the application. Of course, for extensions that modify the browser interface, the user will not need to know the URL, as the extension will present itself in the UI.

How could I monitor (seprate screen?) and counter attacks as they happen? Regards

I was able to change the settings in the 3-bar menu /options / search, however they would never stick.

While IE was saved by reseting it, saving chrome became impossible..I .Followed your suggestions, though there was no registry entry with the ID given in developer mode, I could trace the folder from the path given in the developer mode of extension in chrome and delete the folder from the program data. and chrome was saved. Thanks for the relief. you gave the lead. Ann
